Majerle's Sports Grill to open in Old Town Scottsdale
Former Phoenix Suns star Dan Majerle is opening a fourth restaurant in Old Town Scottsdale under the Marjerle’s Sports Grill moniker by the end of this year.
The new restaurant will offer a sports-themed environment, with the focus on teams and sporting events, from the NHL playoffs, baseball and, of course, Phoenix Suns basketball.
Majerle is an assistant coach for the Suns, an NBA All-Star and a Gold Medalist for his achievements with the 1994 Olympics Basketball Dream Team. While remaining true to the restaurant’s core, new menu items, bar features and entertainment may be added to reflect the Scottsdale scene as detailed plans for the bar progress, Sulka said.
The new restaurant will be located in the heart of Old Town near Axis-Radius at Saddlebag Trail and East Indian Plaza. It will be within a new building being developed by Triyar.
While plans and permits are being reviewed by Scottsdale officials, the goal is to have a new building constructed by late this summer, with the restaurant to open by December in 4,500 square feet of space.
